Servus,
Ich habe nun mal wieder eine Reinstallation mit frischer Hardware durchgeführt und gestern abend schon einige sachen angefangen zu mach wie z.B. User anlegen & Co. Das ging alles problemlos via Remotedesktop und auch dem 32Bit Connetor.
Jetzt habe ich heute früh weitermachen wollen und habe gesehen das es Windowsupdates gibt, also runterladen und Installieren lassen ... soweit so gut.
Nur komme ich seit dem nur noch Lokal mit Maus/Tastatur an den Server. Die schon eingerichteten Netzlaufwerke haben weiterhin funktioniert, nur Remotedesktop und auch der HomeserverConnector funktionieren nicht!
Da es jedoch ~ 50 Updates gewesen sein mögen weiß ich nun nicht was bzw. wo das Problem liegt. Das PowerPack 1 ist da bestimmt auch mit dabei gewesen was ich schon wegen der beseitigung des Datacorruption Bugs und auch wegen dem 64Bitigem Connector ganz gut finde.
Die Logs habe ich soweit mir angeschaut aber nicht wirklich was gefunden wo das Problem ist also habe ich kurzer hand die DVD eingelegt und nun läuft gerade die Reinstallation.
Die Frage ist nun wie kann ich das verhindern das dies nochmal passiert ? Soll ich jedes einzelne Update Installieren und schauen ob die WHS noch läuft bzw. der Zugriff klappt ?

wenn beim Windows Update auch das Power Pack 1 runtergeladen und installiert wurde (wovon ich mal ausgehe), muß der Connector auf den Clients neu installiert werden. Dabei darfst du nicht die CD/DVD verwenden sondern mußt den Connector vom Server runterladen und installieren.

Vom 64Bit System ist es eine frische Installation gewesen direkt vom WHS da die alte Version ja nicht unter Vista64 läuft. Und auch dort geht nichtscbk hat geschrieben:Moin,

Dies erklärt aber auch nicht warum ich per Remotedesktop nicht mehr rauf komme ...

ich hatte auch das Problem. Nach Neustarten des Servers hat er noch, ich glaube zwei mal Updates nachinstalliert und nach dem "letzten" Neustart hat alles funktioniert.
Der WHS hat mir allerdings nicht gesagt das er neu gestartet werden möchte; nach der Installation der Updates. Ich starte prinzipiell alle Rechner neu, nachdem Updates installiert wurden, egal ob Windows das will oder nicht.

Hmmm das hat alles nichts gebracht
... habe was in den Kompnentendienst gändert wie es mir von MS vorgeschlagen wurde denn habe ich noch mittels DVD ne reparatur von den DLLs mittels SFC nach Fehlerbehebung von MS durchgeführt ... dann kam ich auch Remote und auch mit dem Connetor drauf ... genau ein mal ... *motz*
und nun ist wieder schicht im Schacht ... also wan nun weiter tun ? nach dem PP1 Update habe ich auch einmal gebootet ... bin gerade am überlegen ob ich das PP1 runterschmeißen soll oder lieber gleich auf den ganzen Homeserver verzichten soll denn Daten Freigeben kann ich mit anderen PCs auch. Selbst das remote sichern ist mittlerweile nicht ungewöhnliches mit Drive Snapshot.
Habt ihr eine Idee ... ?

Re: frisch installierter WHS nach Updates nur noch lokal ansprec

einige Tage nach Erscheinen des PP1 (automatische Installation) hatte ich folgenden Betrag geschrieben: viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2987&hilit=#p21314
Das PP1 erneuert die WHS Software auf dem WHS, als umfgangreiches Update.
Die Connectorsoftware für die Clients muss danach händisch geladen u. installiert werden.
Habe den Eindruck gewonnen, dass diejenigen die das PP1 über die Console eines Clients installiert haben, Probleme haben, insbesondere was die Verbindung Client/Console zum WHS angeht.
Die Installation des PP1 direkt auf dem WHS (Desktop) mit anschließender Neuinstallation der Clientsoftware scheint problemlos zu laufen.
