wie einige sicherlich wissen, darf ich mich der Schöpfer des Webradio Addins schimpfen.
Gestern hatte ich eine Anfrage über meinen LiveSupport von einem amerikanischen, jungen Mann, der einen Wunsch bzw. Frage stellte.
Es ging darum, dass er gerne den Sound (das Radio) auf dem Server ausgeben würde. Ähnlich wie bei der RDP Session, wo man wählen kann ob der Ton durchgeschliffen werden soll oder direkt am Server ausgegeben werden soll.
Nach kurzer Recherche fand ich auch schon den Artikel bei Microsoft, welcher erläutert, wann bei einer RDP Session der Sound funktioniert und wann nicht. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827483
Des Weiteren fand ich den Artikel bei ihatelinux, wo beschrieben wird, dass die Datei WHSConsoleClient.exe einfach nur eine Verbindung per Terminal Session öffnet und die HomeServerConsole.exe -b ausführt.
Kennt aber jemand eine einfache Möglichkeit, den Sound per Registry zu setzen, wo er ausgegeben werden soll oder andere Möglichkeiten (eventuell das per Code gleich zu bestimmen)
Ich poste hier auch einfach mal die Anwendungsfälle dieses Herren, wo es funktioniert und wo nicht.
Also wenn jemand eine Idee hat dann immer her damit, ich leite sie dann weiter. Ich selbst kann leider gar nichts testen, da ich keine Soundkarte am Server installiert habe.1) Log on directly to Windows on the server - everything works fine. I have a home made server with video and sound card, so this option is available.
2) Connect to the server from inside the home network using Remote Desktop. I have set up the connection as admin and left the sound on server, following the instructions from Microsoft 827483. Once I remotely connect to the server, I can open any media player software or the WebRadio and it works fine. Again, this is happening on the server through Remote Desktop.
Now the following 2 options are the onces with issues.
3) Open the WHS Console on the Client PC, not on the server. The client PC is inside the home network, same workgroup as the server. When the console opens, the sound is by default brought from the server to the Client PC. Here's where I would like to leave it on the server. There is no option for that when you open the console, and I was wondering that maybe is a settings file, registry, or dll that gets laoded automatically, and where we could change the parameters. Nothing to do with Remote Desktop, it's all about WHS Console opened on Client PC.
The console should be run as administrator (that's first setting) then somehow tricked into leaving the sound on the server.
4) Similar to 3, however open the WHS Console outside my home network, over the web. I can connect to the server via IP address, no problem, but the sound is coming to my client PC by default. I guess that if we could solve number 3, then 4 would be easy to fix.
