hi there,
I'm very interested in your addin and i've tried using it for the past few days. I've got a problem in that i can't force remove a problematic download. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing but the two downloads are stuck there not moving!
They say "The Download has Started!" when i try to delete them.
I'd love to be able to force-delete them if they're misbehaving.
Can you shed some light on the situation? maybe i could remove them from some configuration file?
thanks!
matt.
p.s i'm using 1.07beta.

Hi!
The links are saved in D:\folders\{2D9EF59A-4B82-4761-87B1-6791D6915080}\DownloadLink.xml on the server.
You may try to delete this file and restart the console, or try to remove the failing links inside the document.
Good luck, Alex

I installed v1.0.9 and when I click on the tab in the WHS console on a client PC, the console just displays the blank desktop background of the server and not the Dowload Manager interface. Versions 1.0.7 and 1.0.8 both worked OK.
This was on a clean install of the RTM software.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the folder and file both exist on the server. If I restart the console or server I still get the same problem.

Okay...
some possible Errors:
- please delete the File Download.ml and restart the Home Server Console
- please look under in the "Event log" under MyLog and clear the Log file (Maybe the Logfile ist full!?)
- exist the File "HomeServerConsoleTab.WhsDm.dll"in the folder c:\programm files\Windows home server?
if yes.. please move the File to another folder and restart the Home Server Console...
- please look under the Windows Service if the Service WHShDown ist started ?
Maybe these answer will help me find this Bug....

Thanks for your reply again.
Strangely, after installing 1.09 over 1.08 for the 3rd time, it now works.
Another thing though, I'm having trouble getting downloads that require login/password to work.
What is the procedure for doing this and what should go in the bottom-left field in the 'Login to Server' section?
Thanks.

Hi-
I just tried installing 1.09 beta and had a similar problem. On restarting the console after installation and clicking on Download Manager in the toolbar, a page was partially displayed for a while, I could see various fields on the screen but no text at all (see
https://palliser.homeserver.com/images/ ... enshot.jpg, then all of the console toolbar and window disappeared to be replaced with a plain blue desktop (ie no icons at all).
Each time I start the Console, it is fine until I try to start Download Manager, and the same thing happens as above. I tried reinstalling (Repair) and uninstalling then reinstalling. Same thing each time.
ONe other really odd thing is that when the Download Manager was installed I suddenly got 'Network Critical' messages, and it said my WHS was not activated (which it is). AFter I uninstalled it, the green 'Network Healthy' icon returned and everything is OK. Wierd.
Any ideas?!
