Client computer shows as offline in WHS2011 dashboard

Hi - I have LightsOut 1.6.1.2408 running on my WHS2011 HP Proliant microserver. I know: I am living in the past, but it has been working very well for me for years, and I have been afraid to break it by attempting to upgrade.

This week one of my client computers (a desktop PC) developed a problem where the Launchpad on the computer would not run. The server thought the computer was shut down so the server would hibernate. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the connector software on the client PC, and fixed the problem that stopped it from running.

But now the server still does not understand that the client PC is running, and hibernates when I want it to stay running. As a crude fix I have enabled IP address monitoring, to keep the server awake. But it would be great to fix things properly.

On the client computer:
The client Launchpad runs OK, and I can start a backup from there (although it has not completed yet).
The LightsOut tray icon is running OK, and it knows the server is active.

On the server Dashboard:
The client computer shows as 'offline' under 'Computers and backup' - it is not possible to start a backup from there, and automatic backups do not run any more.
LightsOut also shows the computer as offline (greyed out) in its 'computers' tab.
LightsOut does understand that the IP address is active, so this is good news at least.

Can anyone make any suggestions? I realise that this may not be the fault of LightsOut at all, but I am out of ideas. Thank you for any advice!

EDIT: I have found something unusual in the server. the 'Windows Server Health Service' will not start, with an '1067 - process terminated unexpectedly' error. I think this service is important for monitoring connected computers (?). I will look at that, unless anyone has any other ideas.
