high lights-out cpu usage on synology 918+

hi!
i just found that lights-out (3.9.1.4983) is using up to 60% cpu while running active backups on 2 of my computers in parallel - see attached task-manager screenshot.
(process listed under "Lights Out 3" is "mono-sgen"). usage is so high that even the bandwith of the backup-bandwidth is dropping.
running on latest dsm - DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 3.
anything i can check or change to bring lo down to normal cpu usage again?
what did not help
- downgrade to lights-out 3.9.0 / 3.8.1.
what i found in addition
- in lo-console / settings / backup the options "hyper backup" and "active backup for business" are both greyed out. and only hyper backup is checked although my backups are run via active backup.
