Is it possible to disable the version check popup in the clients? My wife is annoying me all the time thinks she have to do anything special with her PC when it pops up. As my current version is running excellent since installation and I'm not in need of any new features I just wanted it to be as it's now.

With Version 1.6.1 and older you can't disable the Popup.
You need Version 1.6.2:

Running 1.6.1. Is it a tricky update? Or just a matter of downloading version 1.6.2 and install?

Did not read carefully enough. It actually says:

"1.6.2 is identical to 1.6.1, except that popup update notification on client computers have been removed."
