Hallo,
ich bekomme die neue Version der "Remote Notification" nicht ans Laufen.
Der Install läuft ganz normal ab, das Add-In wird auch im Register "Installiert" angezeigt.
Es taucht dann aber weder in der Navi-Leiste der Einstellungen noch in den Tabs der Console auf.

Light-out fahre ich in der neuesten Version 1.5.0.1443, frühere Konflikte sollen damit behoben sein.

Was kann ich tun ?

Jetzt habe ich beim Starten der Console eine Fehlermeldung bekommen.
Im Log steht auch was dazu ...
Ich füge beides an und hoffe, ihr könnt das interpretieren und mir weiterhelfen.

Kein guter Rat für mich ?

Deinstallier mal Remote Notification und installier es dann nochmals neu. Dann sollte es gehen.

Ich hab es nochmal versucht - wie auch schon vor obigem Hilferuf (inkl. Server-Neustart):
keine Änderung !

Dein Log zeigt den Konflikt mit der nlog.dll. Eventuell liegt da noch eine im Verzeichnis c:\programme\windows home server.
Deinstalliere mal Lights-Out und Remote Notification, schau dann in obiges Verzeichnis und lösche eine evtl. vorhandene nlog.dll.
Dann installiere die beiden erneut.

So, das habe ich nun auch gemacht. Leider keine Wirkung !
Eine nlog.dll finde ich im ganzen System nicht. Kann es sein, dass die (irgendwo) fehlt ?

Die nlog.dll von Lights-Out liegt im Global-Assembly-Cache (GAC), typischerweise unter C:\WINDOWS\assembly.
Die nlog.dll von Remote Notiofication sollte m. W. in dessen Installationsverzeichnis liegen.

Welche anderen Add-Ins sind installiert?

ja, die nlog.dll in "Remote Notification" ist vorhanden, die Dateien in \assembly konnte ich leider nicht auflösen.

ich habe einen Hardcopy-Auszug vom Central-Addin für die Liste meiner Addins angefügt.

Welche Dateiversion hat die nlog.dll von Remote Notification? Das sollte 1.0.0.x sein.
Die nlog.dll im Assemblyfolder siehst du nur im Windows Explorer, das sollte eine 2.0.0 sein.

Kannst du mal bitte nochmals eine HomeServerConsole.xxx.log posten. Ich leite die ggf. mal an den Entwickler weiter.

Hallo,
nun bin ich fündig geworden. Es ist alles so wie es sein soll:
1.0.0.505 in RemoteNotifikation, 2.0.0.0 in Assembly.
Trotzdem funzt es nicht
Anbei ein Log von heute. Ich drücke die Daumen, dass du u/o deine Entwicklerkollegen fündig werdet.

Ok, jetzt ist es kein Fehler der nlog.dll mehr. Ich leite das mal an Alex Kuretz (Entwickler von Remote Notifikation) weiter.

Wie sieht es mit deinem Englisch aus? Alex Kurtz hat geantwortet:

Thanks Martin, do you know if he speaks English enough for me to help him? If not, it would be helpful to have the RemoteNotification*.log files, they reside with the WHS log files. I suspect that his settings or database file has an error, he can try stopping the Remote Notification service, delete the .xml and .db file in D:\folders\{00979F7B-36E8-4121-8B80-C399B161DFD9}, restart the service, and then restart the Console.

Er hätte ggf. gerne die Logfiles, die befinden sich im WHS Verzeichnis (%qlogs%), Er nimmt an, dass deine Einstellungen oder die Datenbank Schaden genommen haben. Stoppe mal den Remote Notification Dienst, lösche die *.xml und *.db Dateien im Verzeichnis D:\folders\{00979F7B-36E8-4121-8B80-C399B161DFD9}, starte den Dienst neu und dann die Konsole.

Ich habe alles wie beschrieben gemacht, leider auch dieses Mal ohne besseres Ergebnis.
Zu Löschen gab es nur ein *.db-, aber kein *.xml- File (?). Der Start danach erzeugte gleich wieder obiges Fehlerfenster
wg. der RemoteNotification-dll.

Beigefügte Logs:
- 2 RemoteNotification-Logs vor der Löschung
- 1 RemoteNotification-Log nach der Löschung
- 1 Console-Log nach der Löschung

Hi, I'm the developer of Remote Notification, sorry to hear you are having an issue. Unfortunately I don't speak German so hopefully we can get by with Google translation and the help of Martin and others here.

I reviewed the log files, the error is different now, it's complaining about the loading of the NLog dll again from what I see in the Console log "after delete". The RN service runs successfully, it is the Console that is having troubles. This is the same behavior I observed when there was a conflict with a different version of NLog that Martin corrected in 1433 version of Lights Out Beta.

Can you take a screenshot of the contents of C:\programme\Remote Notification\ directory? Also verify that Nlog.dll does not exist in the c:\programme\Windows Home Server\ directory.
