VPN Verbindung

Entschuldigt wenn ich jetzt diesen uralten Thread rauskrame.
Stand aber vor dem selben Problem.

Allerdings half dieser Tip hier Social Microsoft:

....I map drivers and everything on my local network just fine even with the vpn software running. Its just the connector not working.

However,

I think I have found a hack to get around this. Its probably not supported but I think it works for myself.

I modified the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\Transport\Server\Name=[The IP Address of the WHS]

Once I restarted the connector everything worked fine. I connected to the WHS and was able to connect to the console as well.

Kurz um: Einfach den Regkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\Transport\Server\Name anpassen und dort statt "SERVER" die IP Adresse des Servers der VPN Verbindung angeben.

Danach installiert er die Konsole problemlos.
Bei mir kam am Ende nochmal eine Fehlermeldung, aber die konnte ich ignorieren. Konsole startet und fügt sich, wie im lokalen Netzwerk, problemlos in die Taskleiste und lässt sich starten.

Damit alle Geräte im Netz (acuh über VPN) per Namen erreichbar sind hilfts es vielleicht auf dem WHS den WINS Dienst laufen zu lassen:
