I’ve just built a home server using Windows 10 Pro and I am trying to connect a Windows 10 client with no success, unfortunately.

I tried connecting from the client computer to http://mediaserver:7782 or https://mediaserver:7783 to download the client software but the page does not retrieve anything (for reference my server is called: mediaserver)

is any of the network interfaces of the server showing it is a public network (rather than private or domain)?
Does it work with your external FQDN and port 7784 (https://fqdn:7784)?

Solved the problem! My network was public for some reason.
I changed it to private and installed the client with no issues.
