Lights-Out 2 Client Setup - fail

Hi,
Having just updated to version 2.0.3.3562 I find that the client no longer works or doesn't start. Trying to follow the guidance to navigate to <server>:7782/ brings up the installer but on following this it fails every time due to inability to uninstall the previous version. To make matters worse the previous version is not in the Add-Remove Programs list so not sure how I can complete the uninstall of previous version as advised?

Sorry away all week.....will confirm tomorrow night, was definitely version 2, but not sure between Build 3535 and 3396.

Can confirm it was 2.0.2.3535

The client service no longer starts on boot. When I do force start the application I get error that 'the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect'

I suggest that you remove the current installation manually.

Please
- stop the service (in your case not required)
- stop the tray app (right click, exit)
- run cmd.exe as administrator and enter
sc delete Lo2ClntSvc
- Delete "C:\Program Files\AxoNet Software GmbH\LightsOut2Client" and all subfolders
- Navigate to c:\programdata. If you do not see a folder c:\programdata, then open explorer options and enable "show hidden files and folders". Inspect all subdirectories with numbers in brackets like {7E8B4B4F-72E8-4A3D-9655-0E545BB806DF}. If the subdirectory contains only one folder OFFLINE, remove it. If the subdirectory contains file like LightsOut2.Installer.Client, remove it.
- Reboot the machine
- Download installer again and start over

Hi Martin,
I'm still getting the same error I'm afraid.

I completed the following:
- stop the service (in your case not required) - Service not running
- stop the tray app (right click, exit) - Tray icon isn't visible
- run cmd.exe as administrator and enter

- Download installer again and start over - Result was same error.....Am I missing something?

Delete HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\4DEA736E4E1E6254C900730414AA5809 and try again
