Latest update 3.7.2.4869 installs but will not run

The update to 3.7.2.4869 went smoothly, but after it completed, the service will not start. It appears as "stopped." DSM gives the option to "Repair," but that does not get the new version of L-O3 started. I rebooted the Disk Station, but the service still will not start.
Is this a known issue?
Any suggestions for getting the service started? Uninstall and manual install?/

Well, I had all those Synology settings done already because it was necessary to install 3.7 initially.
I did not know that one has to gain root every time an update is installed. I'll try to remember that for future updates
The repair did work after that process.

Interestingly I could not make the SSH command work with the name of the NAS even though Windows Finder has no trouble recognizing it. Only after specifying the IP address could I complete the process. Is there anything to do to avoid that hassle in the future?
