Lights out disappeared from server 2016 essentials

I noticed this morning that Lights out icon on my Windows machines said the server was offline. I logged into the server and had a look at what was going on. It seems the Lights Out has completely been removed from the server. I had a download of 3.7 version and installed it. When I tried to start the console it says Beta version has expired and closes.
I used the link in the main forum to go to download the installer for Windows but what I got was not a Windows executable but is a file that ends with .spk which is not something that I can even open in Windows Server 2016.
It appears to me that the console detected a new version and attempted to install it but it was not successful. The download page for the Windows version says it is for Synology DSM version 6 and that is what appears to be downloading when I click on the download buttton.
I just downloaded the 3.5 stable version and installed it. That is now working.

Looks like the update to 3.7 failed or the beta expired on your machine. Can you please send the server logs to support@green-it-software.com?
Simply zip the whole folder c:\programdata\LightsOut3\Logs (via right click, send to compressed folder) and send the archive. If you do not see a folder c:\programdata, then open explorer options and enable "show hidden files and folders".

Have you download the 3.7.0.4837 official build which was published yesterday? Or have you tried with an (expired) beta?

I recommend you verify the version and install the 3.7.04837 official build on your server.

Martib

Where can I download 3.7. The download page says it is for Windows but when I download it the file is not a Windows executable it is an .spk file which I think is for synology.
I am fully licenced for upgrades so not sure why this happened.

There are no logs for the failed update. The ones shown with todays date are from the manual update I did at 9:02 this morning after downloading it. The only 2 log file from before the update failed is the service log that I sent. I would surmise no logs of the update attempt exist because it did not run the update.

There are SYSTEM-LightsOut.Server.Service.2022-012/13/14 logs. Theses indicate that the service was running and should log the update request.

Sorry for the Delay. I had to do some work for a client. Attached are the system log files as requested. The one from the 14th was created after the manual update to 3.7

Thanks for the logs, Ron.

You say: It seems the Lights Out has completely been removed from the server.
What made you think that?

On January 14, I see continuous entries in the log from midnight to 9 AM. Then at 9:12 I see the launch of the expired beta version and at 9:28 the launch of the old 3.5.3.

It is therefore not entirely clear to me what really happened.
